In June, I was offered a position for a short term role as a teaching assisstant for an upcoming Cloud Dev Ops Bootcamp. While I was fairly versed in AWS, this course would be taught using Azure.

I put a pause to studying for my SAA-C03 exam and got started familiarising myself with Azure ahead of the course start date in September. While I was there I also took a peek into system administration fundamentals.

The primary reason for this post is that I wanted to share that gaining such a deep understanding of networking, security, IAM and others while studying for SAA-C03, made it very seamless to dive into Azure.

I have also switched over to Azure entirely for most of my practice work. Mainly because I LOVE resource groups. Its very efficient to be able to delete all resources related to a project in one go. As somone who has recieved one a few bills from resources I forgot existed in AWS, I am very grateful for this feature.

I have also really enjoyed working with AWS CLI. I am thinkinking for starting a project series where I incrementally explore all Azure has to offer since I already spent over a year exclusively on AWS.

Till then!
