One of my favourite sayings of all time rings true once again "Man plans, God laughs".
At the end of January, energised by my newly acquired AWS Cloud practitioner certificate, I set out to be prepared to take my SAA-C03 exam by March. I researched how best to prepare and decided on Stephane Maarek's course on Udemy. I planned to take four modules a day and be fully prepared to take my exam in a matter of months.
Predictably, what ended up happening was that I sped through the course barely assimilating content. Sped is also an over statement. In my attempt to rush through the content, I ended up having to watch many of the videos over and over again.
As the initial exam date I had set drew nearer, I had to be honest with myself about what a realistic timeline for preparation, one where I escaped with more than just a certificate, would look like.
Now, having reset my expectations, I have officially finished the course on Udemy, but am still making my way through the practice questions ahead of my exam date on the 21st of May.
I will make a separate post about my favourite tidbits of information that I came across while studying.
Wish me luck!✨
