In October last year, I was accepted into the AWS Cloud Women's Mentorship program. For the next 12 weeks, I worked with my fantastic mentor Darren trying to figure out my place in cloud.

Darren described his role as assessing companies that were not yet cloud enabled, their technical needs and making recommendations for migration. This deeply resonated with my desire to be a problem solver, using my knowledge to help businesses make the most of cloud technology.

I have a bit of a journey ahead of me, but with Darren's help I took (and successfully passed!) my AWS Cloud Practitioner exam during the mentorship and hope to take my Solutions Architect exam in the next few months.

It was really lovely to be able to gain a bit of direction on my path and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
